Founded as a one-man shop in 2008, Walsh Home Inspections has grown into the premier home inspection company serving Eastern & Central Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Our success is based on owner Michael Walsh’s vision for the company – one which provides each client with a thorough inspection in a collaborative and educational manner. This approach is reflected in each of the more than 1,400 inspections we conduct a year.

Michael Walsh – President

Mike Walsh has a unique background for a home inspector with experience in sales, real estate, mortgage lending and building.

Mike learned the basics of building while working with his grandfather and friends. After studying business in college, Walsh started a 10-year career in sales, selling everything from food and beverage to mortgages. His sales experience gave him the ability to talk to and relate to all types of people.

His mortgage industry experience helped him learn the real estate process, gleaning important insights that many other home inspectors don’t have, including understanding the obstacles a potential homebuyer may face related to financing and the process from a realtor’s point-of-view.

In 2003, he combined his interests and experience and entered the home inspection business. Walsh started Walsh Home Inspections in 2008 as the company’s only employee. Today, the business has grown to include seven skilled inspectors, a director of operations and two office managers.

Louie Maheras – Inspector

Louie, a resident of Portsmouth, RI, brings a well-rounded building background to his home inspections. With experience in carpentry, plumbing and heating, he offers a trained eye gained from work in residential repair and maintenance as well as through building sustainable, eco-friendly housing abroad in countries such as Guatemala and here at home in the United States.

In addition to his technical knowledge and home inspection experience, Louie’s extensive teaching background and knowledge of energy-saving innovations is an ideal fit for Walsh Home Inspections’ commitment to offering educational inspections.

Paul MacDonald – Inspector

Paul’s decades of building and facilities experience, blending both hands-on and managerial work, make him a great asset to our inspection team.
Prior to becoming a home inspector, Paul successfully ran his own company specializing in the acquisition and renovation of residential real estate investments.

A Hanover resident, he also owns and manages numerous residential properties. His seasoned knowledge of the residential real estate business complements his vast experience with mechanical, electrical, and construction systems. Paul’s technical knowledge and practical experiences make him a key part to the team.

Ramon Marte – Inspector (Fluent Spanish & English)

Ramon, a resident of Hyde Park, focuses on serving our Greater Boston and Eastern MA clientele. Ramon’s knowledge of buildings developed early, gained through invaluable hands-on experience working with his family’s businesses and investment properties.

From this background and years working in the financial industry, Ramon parlayed his well-rounded skills and business experience into a home inspection career. His detailed work ethic, extensive training and high level of professionalism coupled with his reassuring demeanor and knowledge of home improvements and maintenance make him a wonderful addition to Walsh.

In addition to his technical skills, Ramon also offers his clients the ability to have an inspection conducted in fluent Spanish.

Steve Kelly – Inspector

From his first day at Walsh, Steve quickly became an inspector with a following. As resident of Uxbridge, Steve focuses his efforts on serving our Central and Southeastern Mass. and Rhode Island clientele.

Prior to joining Walsh, Steve built a successful career as an independent general contractor. For more than 15 years, he renovated and remodeled residential properties throughout Massachusetts. One of his specialties was finish and custom millwork. This role honed his skills in all aspects of home construction and repair making him an ideal home inspector.

Claudio Martins – Inspector (Fluent Portuguese & English)

As a long time resident of Framingham, Claudio has the ability to serve clients across much of Eastern and Central Mass. To these clients, he offers deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience paired with an approachable, easy-going manner. These traits make him a wonderful inspector.

Before becoming a Walsh home inspector, Claudio spent decades working in the homebuilding and repair industry. For more than 10 years, he was a highly-successful independent flooring and improvement professional working on both new construction and remodeled homes. His specialty was finish carpentry. His depth of knowledge, attention to detail and hands-on experience is a fantastic fit to the Walsh team.

In addition to his technical skills, Claudio offers his clients the ability to have an inspection conducted in fluent Portuguese.

Lee Abdella – Director of Operations

Lee brings more than 15 years of marketing and business development experience to the Walsh Home Inspections team. A graduate of Syracuse University, Lee has a long history of working with residential developers and realty sales groups as well as construction and architecture professionals.

With a well-rounded skill set including B2C and B2B advertising, marketing, social media and event planning, Lee has worked at prominent communication agencies in both Chicago and Boston as well as her native Worcester. Past non-real estate client include regional banks, national consumer brands and tourist destinations.

Lee’s role at Walsh Home Inspections will be to foster the company’s growth through realtor and consumer marketing efforts and to offer overall assistance to clientele.
